Description:
Antique Match Safe/vesta With the face of the Court Jester or Joker head. Look close and you will see his clown head scepter. This is a very old match safe. The top is hinged and is tight. The knurled surface on the bottom is were the match head would strike. See pictures. Almost no ware in beautiful condition. Measures 2 1/4" tall and 1 1/8" wide. This match-safe will be a prize possession of yours. This vintage match safe dates from the late nineteenth century. Excellent shape for the age. There are no splits, no breaks, and no repairs. Lid opens to almost 90 degrees and closes with a secure click. Hinge is excellent. The collectors have been hard after these and that makes them hard to find. Will hold the small vest pocket matches. We include a package of 10 boxes of the vest pocket matches. They are the good strike anywhere matches. Just think of the looks you will get when you pull this out of your vest pocket and light your cheroot.
