Description:
This is a sporterized Springfield Model 1898 Krag chambered for 30-40 Krag. The 24” blued barrel is in good condition having no pitting and very light surface wear. It has a fixed blade front sight mounted in a ramped dovetail and a filled rear dovetail. The bore is fairly rough but still has its rifling. The original action is also in good condition. There is finish wear along the edges but no pitting or dents. The action has been drilled and tapped for a peep sight. The Williams peep sight is adjustable for windage and elevation. Bolt slides smoothly and is undamaged. The walnut stock with pistol grip and raised cheek rest is in good condition. There are a few scattered dings but none disrupt the finish. Stock has sling studs, grip cap, and buttplate. Length of pull is 14”, overall length is 44-¼”, and weight is 8.2 lbs. Our stock number is #A320.
