Description:
A Slotter copy of the Henry Deringer piston, single shot percussion, .41 Caliber, with 2 1/2" barrel. All inlays of German silver are engraved just like the Deringer from which they are copied. And the rosewood grips are finely checkered as well. The pineapple finial is identical to that of the Deringer of the same size. The barrel marking is:SLOTTER/&CO. PHIL. There was much litigation involved due to the Deringer patent infringement. This was complicated by the fact that many of Slotters employrrs were formerly employed by Deringer. This example is readily distinguished by the very pointed birdshead grip. Fine condition.REDUCED!!!
