Description:
An excellent example of a Colt 45 SAA with 4 3/4" barrel and 10 1/4" overall length. Manufactured in 1891. The pistol is in excellent condition with no rust or pitting. Overall finish is probably 80-85% original. The barrel has no rust or pitting and the lands and groves are in very good condition-they are not worn out. All markings are clearly visible and readable. The serial numbers all match. The grips are polished to a beautiful smooth patina and are 100% in tact with no cracks or chips at any point. The pistol action is very crisp and it locks up on all three clicks. The cylinder locks firmly in place and the trigger is very crisp. It is hard to beleive this gun is 126 years old when you handle it. I still fire handloaded blackpowder rounds with it at the range. The pistol is very accuarte and a blast to shoot. You will not find a better pistol of this age if you are looking for one that is still serviceable after all these years.
