#5254, .45 Gov, 28 inch heavy barrel (rifle weighs 11 pounds), hand made barrel sight, double set triggers, circa early 1880's.
Condition: strong bore, 70% barrel blue fading and browning, smooth plum-gray receiver, excellent wood with coat of finish applied, there is a hole as for a sling swivel in the bottom of the stock about 5 inches from the butt plate, excellent mechanically, excellent markings.
