PAIR OF FINE BRITISH FLINTLOCK TRADE PISTOL 17-27
Pair of Fine British Flintlock trade Pistols, c. 1770’s 8”, .67 cal. round brass barrels w/ (2) English proofs marked with some light engraving at rear of bbl. Usual Brass furniture, including decorative brass escutcheon on wrist of stock, round buttcap, sideplate and trigger guard. Locks are marked “JN JONES & CO”. Metal is clean with a little patina light corrosion on locks and barrels, nice original patina. 14”overall length. Wood stocks show some repairs of but look good with the usual dings, dents, small chips and hairline cracks. These guns are 200+ years old so this typical of an old original gun from the revolutionary war period. In good working order, lock up well on half cock (safety) and full cock. A very nice example probably made for trade, but that could have seen service during the American Revolutionary War. (17-27) $2,850.00
