Polish (Nazi/Steyr) Radom P-35 Cal. 9mm, Ser. b 78XX.
This was one of the end of the run P-35s that were produced in Austria after the Nazis moved the manufacturing to Austria. This was to prevent the factory to falling into the hands of the Russians. Production was quite small and these wooden gripped phosphated models are quite rare, particularly in very nice shape.
This one retains about 85-90% of the original "phosphate". The bulk of the loss is due mostly to thinning from holster wear and the usual sharp edge and muzzle silvering. The grip straps have barely started to thin.
There is no rust or scratches.
All numbers match, the frame, slide and barrel. The left side of the slide is stamped Eagle/77 and Eagle/ Swastika. The frame Eagle/77 and the trigger guard has the scarce Eagle/623 Steyr acceptance mark. The "last ditch" wooden striated grips are perfect, no splits chips or dings.
The slide rails, bolt face and feed ramp show very little use. Quoting a critical collector customer, “The bore is awesome”. It is mirror bright with razor sharp rifling and not a hint of frost.
The gun comes with one proper late war Phosphated magazine with a correct metal follower.
A completely correct lovely example for the collection that should be a "blast" at the range....$2695.
