This is an interesting and attractive pre model 27. Factory letter states this Pre 27 was
shipped in February of 1953 to the Jesse Harpe Co. in Tampa Florida. Shipped with
a 3 1/2 inch barrel, nickel finish, and walnut grips. The revolver is now tastefully engraved
with a pinto style to it. Nickel finish with gold plating to the cylinder, cylinder yoke, and
release latch. The screws and ejector rod are fire blued. The gun is complimented with custom
ivory stocks. The overall condition of the gun and tone of the ivory would suggest the work was completed
shortly after leaving the factory and may have been sent out by the Jesse Harpe Co. before being sold.
The action is perfect, the trigger breaks like glass and there is no evidence of the gun having been fired.
These various features with the custom ivory stocks really make this pre 27's look outstanding.
