Standard 24 inch Octagon Barrel with full magazine and crescent style rifle buttplate. Caliber is marked 38 W which is 34-40. Original Factory sights include the long-style Marlin Ballard Rear Sight and Rocky Mountain Front with German Silver Blade. Overall condition is in NRA Antique Very Good Condition having turned to a light brown patina with strong traces of original blue in protected areas of the frame and 20% original blue on the barrel and magazine tube. Hammer and lever show traces of original case colors. Excellent markings and edges. Stock, Tang, Frame, and Buttplate have all matching numbers. The original walnut stocks are solid and show a lot of patina and character wear from years of use. No cracks or repairs and the wood still shows 40% original varnish. Bore is nice with strong lands and grooves and fairly bright. Nice Antique Marlin that has a great look to it!
