Description:
This early dragoon has some early features. The Colts Patent on the frame is closer to the trigger guard and the trigger guard is wider like on the earlier colts. There is a #10 stamped on the loading lever which is correct for early dragoons. This dragoon is slightly out of time as the cylinder may rotate a little more than it needs about half of the time. The stop is lightly worn down. The grips are slightly smaller as they shrunk and there is a deep overall patina with minor spots of pitting here and there. There is deep rifling but bore is dark and nipples are battered. Still a good early dragoon with lots of use.
