Mauser k98, Nazi coded "bcd" maker Gustloff Werk, dated "42", Cal 8mm, Ser. 47XX e.
Every bloody part that can be numbered, is. And every one is matching. The gun retains about 85-90% of the original blued finish. The balance is blended to a soft blue gray patina. There are no pits rusts pots or scratches to be found.
The barrel is stamped Eagle /Swastika, Eagle /13, Eagle/13/Eagle/15. The receiver is stamped Eagle/740, Eagle/Swastika, "bcd", "42". The barrel bands and front sight have toned to a reddish gray. The butt plate is contractor stamped "bcd", "41' Eagle/471.
The laminated stock does have several nicks and ding but does not show any splits or splintering. The bore does show some mild wear, however, it is very bright with well-defined rifling..
