Description:
Baker RKE Grade (SN 200498, ca. 1925) 12 ga with ejectors and 30 inch Krupp steel barrels both bored modified with twin ivory beads. The Baker gun is a true American sidelock like the L. C. Smith and was of similar quality and price. Graded Bakers are infrequently seen. Both R grade and ejectors are very uncommon. The Baker guns are the only American made doubles with hammer block safeties such that it can be discharged only if the triggers are pulled. This gun is in very good condition with most of the original faded case colors and barrel blue. The straight English type stock is in beautiful condition, is well figured English walnut with finely exicuted 20 lpe checkering. Good modern stock dimensions: LOP – 14” from front trigger to rubber recoil pad; DC - 1 7/8”; and DH – 2 1/4”. __was $1800.
