This is a Vintage Savage Lever-Action. The Rifle is a Savage Model 99-EG Standard Weight .300 Savage caliber Lever-Action Rifle. S.N.#- 57119x This Sporting Rifle was Mfg. in 1951. It has a 24" barrel with an older Savage/Stevens Rear Sight, W/Elevator. The Front Sight is a Factory Savage Target & Hunting Raised Bead. A Certain Plus Is the addition of a ($80) Williams Tang Peep Sight. This Sight is Windage & Elevation Adjustable. The Barrel and Lever-Case Color Blue are in Very-Good Condition. The Receiver Blue and Bore are in Good Condition. The Receiver is Non-factory tapped. This Firearm has the Lever- Safety & Factory Seel Buttplate. The Stocks are Wallnut and have the Factory Impressed Checkering. This Timeless Savage has ware & handling marks but, over-all is in Very-Good Condition. A Pleasing 66-yr. old Savage M-99.
