Description:
Nice example of the S&W Model 61-3 Escort pistol. These little semi-automatic pistols were manufactured from 1970 to 1974, serial numbered B1001 to B65438 and B001 to B0499. They were fitted with a 2 1/2 inch barrel, brown checkered plastic grips, finished in either nickel or blue/black, were chambered in .22 LR, and came with a 5-round magazine. This gun is in very fine condition, retaining 98% of its original blue/black finish, with thinning on the sharp edges of the slide, and some chipping of the black finish on the sharp edges of the frame. The plastic grips are also in very fine condition, with minimal handling marks and no cracks or chips. The bore is bright and the action functions as new. Comes with its original numbered to the gun box, instructions manual, and (2) 5-round magazines. Seldom see these pistols anymore.
