All that said, the very good news is the bores as both remain excellent. The barrels are smack on the face with nice bite remaining. It has 4 screw holes in the 1/4 rib that we can fill but we have the scope base and rings that was installed on the rib. This is a neat cartridge in a 35 caliber with a lot of cases available that has all the same game performance of a 35 Whelen. It is from a great era when Rigby's were the real thing on the finest action body used on boxlock double rifles.
