Description:
SOLD This is a super nice pre-series 70. Year of manufacture is 1961. It is engraved and comes with a matching Ace slide. Bob Chow did an action job on the pistol as well. He is a very renowned gunsmith from California especially his work on 1911's. Most of his work was in the 60s and 70's. Engraver is A.E. Scott. Take a good close look at the engraving. It is extremely well done and very detailed. Notice the gold inlay. It is tastefully done. The Ace slide is a Colt Conversion Unit. The engraving is almost a mirror copy of the .45 National Match. Bores in both barrel show very little use and each is excellent. Stocks fit perfectly with no cracks or chips. They have a great aged look to them. I have taken many pictures which clearly and fairly show the condition of the pistol. This engraved National Match .45 with matching Ace slide will make a very impressive addition to any collection.
