Description:
This Browning Auto-5 was manufactured by FNH of Belgium for Browning in 1957, it is in excellent 90+% condition and probably one of the nicest ones we've seen in a long time. The Browning Auto-5 or A5 was manufactured by FNH of Belgium from 1952-1976, the Belgian Made Auto-5's are regarded as some of the best firearms ever produced for Browning. The action is smooth as glass and as soon as you feel it you'll know why these guns are so highly regarded. Bluing is a very deep and strong, light carry wear on bottom of receiver. The shotgun is also complemented by the European walnut stock and forend.

This particular shotgun was probably used as someone's occasional field gun, it shows light signs of use. There are a couple handling marks on the wood but the metal is very nice, sharp edges show light wear. A vintage Pachmayr was installed on this firearm quite some time ago, the length of pull still comes to 14.5". The internals are very clean just like the rest of this fine firearm. There is a crack on the underside of the forend, please refer to pictures for this.

Pictures best describe this firearm for exactly what it is and what you will receive!

The Browning Automatic 5, most often Auto-5 or simply A5, is a recoil-operated semi-automatic shotgun designed by John Browning. It was one of the very first successful semi-automatic shotgun designs, and was produced from 1902 until 1998. Designed by John Browning in 1898 and patented in 1900, it was produced continually for almost 100 years and is regarded as one of the most successful auto-loading shotguns of all time.

It features a distinctive high rear end, earning it the nickname "Humpback". The top of the action goes straight back on a level with the barrel before cutting down sharply towards the buttstock. The name of the shotgun came from the fact that it is an auto-loader with a capacity of five rounds, four in the magazine and one in the chamber.
