Description:
The Winchester Model 1897 shotgun was made from 1897 to 1957 with over 1,024,700 manufactured.   This particular 12 Gauge 1897 was made in 1906 and is fitted with a 28 inch barrel (full choked) and is built on the solid frame.  It is in very fine condition, with the barrel and tube magazine retaining 85% of their original blue finish, with most wear on the bottom of the tube from working of the slide action.  The frame retains 50% of its original blue finish, with thinning on the bottom and top due to handling.  The stock retains most all of its original finish, with assorted handling marks.  The forearm retains most all of its original finish, with some thinning on the bottom.  The bore is bright and the action is tight and functions perfectly.  The checkered plastic butt-plate is worn, with flattened checkering, but no cracks or chips.  Would make a fantastic Cowboy Action gun.      PRICE:   $850      We are Antique & Modern Firearms in Lexington, KY, dealer of fine firearms since 1974.   PH. 859-276-1419         We Buy, Sell and Trade Firearms & Knives.    Have a Individual FirearmFirearms Collection, or Firearms Estate to sell, let us know, we can buy or consignment sell it for you.       (sales at am-firearms)
