Description:
Produced in 1959 this Pigeon Grade Superposed (Grade II) has all the desirable features found on the early Superposed guns. Included are: Prince of Wales grip with round knob and long trigger guard tang, highly figured dark European Walnut stock with an oil finish, and a higher quality grade of engraving. The barrels are 26 1/2 inch long, choked improved cylinder and modified, and the bores are perfect. The stock has a 14 1/4 inch length of pull over a 3/4 inch Decelerator recoil pad and is in fine condition with sharp unworn checkering. Overall the shotgun is in excellent condition with only very minor wear and certainly does not show 57+ years of use. Included is an original period correct Browning luggage case with key, and owners manual. Pigeon Grades of this vintage and in this condition make a great shooter and collectors piece.
