Here is a highly collectible Colt New Service Target 7 1/2" barrel in the very popular .44 Russian/S&W Special. The gun includes a Colt factory letter showing it was a special order one gun shipment to Dayton, Ohio in January of 1924. The special order feature was the bead front sight and the matching U notch rear sight. The standard sights for these were the Patridge sight but others could be ordered. The gun has the checkered trigger and checkered front and rear grip straps. It also has the fancy Fleur-De-Lis checkered walnut grips that are numbered to the gun (See Photo's). The gun remains in very good condition with just a few small marks which can be expected for a target gun that is 93 years old. This is one of the better New Service Targets that I have encountered. The action is crisp and the gun locks up tight like a Colt should. The bore is excellent and the grips are free from chips and cracks. This is one of the rarest calibers to find in the New Service Target as Colt only made 500 of them and not many remain in this condition. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly with the gun in a zipper sleeve and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
