Description:
Colt introduced the .38 Special in 1932 and offered it in three barrel lengths, 4”, 5” & 6”. Most were sold with the 6” barrel making this a very collectible New Service since it has the 5” barrel length. The gun is in excellent condition with just a few small marks. The gun is mechanically perfect and the gun locks up tight like any good Colt should. The bore is excellent and the original checkered walnut grips are free from chips and cracks. This gun has the round butt frame like the Colt Shooting Master. The gun comes with a Colt factory letter showing it was shipped to Brenham, Texas in February of 1936. The New Service was only chambered for nine years in the .38 Special and finding one with the 5” barrel puts it on the rare side. This is your chance to obtain one in high condition. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly with the gun in a zipper sleeve and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance to your FFL dealer in the continental United States for $55 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun requires a C&R or FFL license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
