Description:
Offered for sale is a terrific Colt Bankers Special .22 caliber that is in the box and includes a factory letter. The gun remains in 99.9% condition and is mechanically perfect. It locks up tight and the bore is like new. The factory checkered walnut stocks with silver medallions remain in new condition and do not have any chips, cracks or dents. The right side of barrel has a 2-line address & patent dates and left side is marked “.22 BANKERS / SPECIAL”. The trigger is checkered and it has the Rampant Colt logo on the sideplate. Accompanied by its original hinged lid, dark burgundy cardboard box with blue & white end label marked “COLT’S POLICE-POSITIVE REVOLVER .22” on the bottom edge and a black & white label on top edge “BANKERS’ SPECIAL”, and it has matching S/N on the bottom. Inside the box is its original wire handle cleaning brush along with the Special Instructions & Shooting Suggestions. The box remains in excellent plus condition and does not have any corner breaks. Colt built less than a thousand of the Bankers .22 caliber revolvers and they are highly collectible. This gun was made in May of 1933 and shipped to Weed & Company in Rochester, New York in a one gun shipment. The gun does not appear to have been fired and you would look far and wide to find a better one. I offer a three day inspection on all of my guns and it will be packaged correctly with the gun being shipped in a zipper pouch and the factory box shipped inside of a larger carton.
