Payment Types Accepted: Visa,Master Card, Discover,Check Description: This minty Springfield M1A is a real beauty both inside and out. It rates at 98%+ and appears to rarely have been fired. It is serial number 98,539, making it's date of manufacture sometime in 1996. This rifle was made prior to Springfield running out of G.I. M14 parts and it is full of them. Every part that can legally be mil-spec M14 parts is just that, with the exception of the stock. The receiver, stainless steel National Match air-gauge barrel, and stock are commercially manufactured. The bolt, op rod, spring guide, spring, trigger housing, hammer, all the small trigger parts, gas system, sights, and buttplate/trap are mil-spec G.I.; and probably the flash hider. It's hard to say if the flash hider is G.I. because it has been match conditioned (opening bored) and bayonet lug removed, but it likely is given the rest of the rifle. The action of this rifle is super tight, with no slop in it at all. Everything looks new or nearly new. The stock is particularly attractive. Very seldom do you see Springfield Armory factory stocks with this much tight grain and figure. It comes complete with a Springfield marked 1907 Pattern heavy leather sling and an unmarked 20 round steel magazine. These earlier Springfield M1As with Mil Spec M14 parts are getting harder and harder to find and the prices they are fetching have been rising for years. They are considered by those in the know to be more reliable, accurate, and durable than the M1As being made today with all commercial parts. Often when you do find one like this, it has been shot thousands of times and shows a lot of wear. This is your chance to get everything you could want in a M1A, full of SA/drawing number marked G.I. M14 parts and in minty condition no less! SOLD Manufacturer: Springfield Armory Model: M1A Serial Number: 98539 Caliber Info: 7.62 Nato Condition: EXCELLENT |
