For sale, a Smith & Wesson K-38 otherwise known as a Pre Model 14 "4-screw" chambered in .38 Special. This S&W K-38 is a very attractive professionally refinished revolver. The restoration appears to be an older job but it still looks great. Only under close examination can you see any signs of the re-blue on the metal parts. The bore in this Smith is excellent; bright with strong rifling and no signs of wear or pitting. The cylinder bores are also clean and in excellent condition. The action feels crisp and like new, it's properly in-time and it locks up nice and tight. In single and double action firing the trigger breaks nicely with little to no creep/dragging. The S&W factory walnut grips are in great shape and fit nicely on this revolver despite being for a later vintage gun. This K-38 has an adjustable rear target style sight and Patridge style front sight. Everything works 100% like it should, like it just left the Smith & Wesson factory last week. If you have been looking for a really nice looking older Smith & Wesson target revolver in .38 Special that you can shoot without feeling guilty, this is it!
