Description:
This is a Remington 1-½ chambered for 44-40. The 24-½” octagonal barrel is blued and has a taper of 7/8” at the receiver to 11/16” at the muzzle. There is finish wear along the edges but no scratches or pitting. The front dovetail holds a fixed blade sight and the rear dovetail is filled. Bore is clean and has retained its sharp rifling. The receiver has a relatively even patina and no pitting. The finish on the hammer and breech block is wearing, but there are no scratches or pitting. The screws have seen some use but are still in useable condition. Mounted on the tang is a folding tang sight with adjustments for elevation at the eye and windage at the base. The walnut buttstock is in decent condition. There are a few scattered dents and scratches, but none disturb the somewhat dark stain. The forend cap is blued steel and the crescent buttplate is patinated steel. Length of pull is 13-¼”, overall length is 41-½”, and weight is 6.6 lbs. Our stock number is #A354.
