Beretta built the Silver Pigeon I as it has every other over/under shotgun that has preceded it-to be the strongest, most reliable over/under in the world. The top mounted, dual conical locking lugs tighten over the life of the shotgun for a vault-like lock-up year after year. Those same locking lugs sit high on the low profile receiver, providing for a significantly stronger lock-up while remaining exceptionally balanced in the hands of the shooter. Deeply set barrels bring the sight plane in line with a shooter's hands, providing reduced recoil and minimal muzzle rise. The chrome-lined, cold-hammer forged barrels feature the Optima Bore HP® geometry, and deliver unparalleled ballistic performance. A Silver Pigeon I houses modern technology within the classic styling expected of an over/under. Drawing inspiration from the beautiful luxury models that have come before it, the satin nickel receiver features extensive English-style scroll and floral engravings. The rich engravings, traditional 3" receiver, select walnut stock, Schnabel fore-end and gold-plated trigger of the Silver Pigeon I belie its economical price and make the Silver Pigeon I a shotgun one would be proud to pass down from generation to generation.
