Description:
This Belgian Browning A5 16 Gauge was manufactured in 1952 and has a plain 27 & 1/2 inch barrel (28 inch) choked Improved Cylinder with a 2 3/4 inch chamber. It has 90% of the original Browning factory blue finish remaining on all of the metal parts with some small spots of marring/handling marks and some high edge wear. You can tell this shotgun has not been carried or shot much as the upper and lower tangs on the receiver show very little finish wear, and the internals are also very clean and show no signs of wear. The bore in this A5 is pristine. It is bright and clean with no dents or signs of pitting or oxidation. The stock has a 14 & 7/8ths inches length of pull over a 1 inch recoil pad, and is in good condition except for some spiderlike cracking of the clear coat and a gouge in the wood near the receiver on the right side of the upper pistol grip. Both the buttstock and the forearm are nice and solid with no cracks or repairs. See the pictures to see what I am describing.
