Description:
Serial #059, 7.62mm NATO (.308 Win.), 22" barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a rare variant with integral grenade launcher at the muzzle (designed to accept 22mm spigot type grenades) and has matching numbers on the receiver and bolt. The metal retains 95-97% of the original blue finish with some specks of mild freckling on the barrel, as well as some gray fading on the front sight base, which is positioned fairly far back along the barrel to provide clearance for the grenade spigot. The bolt is finished in-the-white, and has some thin dark brown freckling, mostly on the handle and knob. There is a small import stamp on the right side of the barrel. The walnut stock has minor handling marks and blemishes scattered throughout, and the cleaning rod and leather sling are original. These are rare and desirable carbines, not often encountered in the U.S., and would make great addition to any collection of foreign military Mauser rifles. FFL or C&R
