Description:
Serial #24L6247, .303 British, 25” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This Long Branch-made, 1943 dated rifle has retained about 97-98% of the black, Suncorite finish added post-war by British arsenals. The finish exhibits negligible flaking along the high edges, and there is a small Interarms import stamp on the left side of the trigger guard at the wrist socket. The matching numbered bolt has streaked gray metal along the body, with Suncorite still present along the handle and on the wide safety lug. The matching numbered forend and handguards have been arsenal refinished to fine condition with only minor handling marks and small surface blemishes marring the otherwise fine armory added finish, and the buttstock, which has a somewhat darker appearance, is also in excellent condition. A single matching numbered magazine is included. This is a handsome, Canadian-made World War II rifle that was arsenal reconditioned, probably around the time of the Korean War. The rifle rates fine-excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
