Description:

RARE Nazi German WWII MAUSER HSc Pistol w HOLSTER

1 of 5000 2nd Variation, Wermacht Pistol & Holster

Here we present a Nazi German Mauser HSc Pistol with an original holster, made circa 1941. The Mauser HSc was a small pistol meant to compete on the commercial market with the likes of the Walther PP and quickly gained military acceptane. Production began in 1940 with first military use by the Kriegsmarines beginning in 1941. The Wermacht and Police also purchased many from Mauser, and the Luftwaffe and SS also used those that they were able to procure from those stores.

This example is a second variation gun, still early in production, with only 5,000 of them made. It has checkered wood grips and a high quality blued finish. It is chambered in 7,65 Browning. It is double/single action, with a very minimal external hammer. It has a sleek design that is quite small, but has a nice full grip. The take down is very simple and clever, with the latch hidden inside the front of the trigger guard.
The pistol bears the German Army acceptance mark of “Eagle/655” on the left side of the trigger guard.

There are 2 “Eagle/N” proof marks on the right side, one of the rear of the trigger guard and one on the slide near the muzzle. There is a very small “F” on the bottom of the frame next to the magazine release.

The holster was made by Christof Neuner of Lederfabrik in Klagenfurt, Austria. His mark is the “bear skin, oakleaf, 9” and is dated “1943”. Next to the makers mark is an “Eagle/WaA 938”. The inside of the holster is also marked “Mauser 7,65” in ink stamp and “LT. SUPPAN” in ink by hand. Lt. Suppan is likely the bringer back of the piece from the European Theater during or after World War II. Condition is near fine.

The overall condition of the pistol is fine. The high quality, high polish, original blue finish is 95%. The markings are clear and legible. The serial numbers match, except the magazine, which is unnumbered. The checkered wood grips are in very good condition, with just a sliver missing from the top of the left grip panel. The bore is clean and shiny. The action is excellent.

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.

Barrel is 3-3/8 inches in length.

Caliber: 7.65 Browning (.32 ACP, 7.65x17mm)

The bore is in fine condition and the action is excellent.

Overall condition as seen in photos.
