Description:
Manufactured in 1864, this Civil War rifled musket came out of Tennessee and is in "as found attic condition". It looks as if it has not been touched in 100+ years. All the metal parts have turned to a brown patina and the walnut stock has darkened with age to being almost black. The lock functions perfectly and it is all complete. One of the lockplate screws has been replaced and the ramrod is from an earlier (1816?) U.S. Musket. This musket was made in New Hampshire over 150 years ago.
