Description:

Rare H.C. Lombard & Co Single Shot DERINGER Pistol

Under 1,000 Civil War Era Deringer Pocket Pistol

Here we present an antique H.C. Lombard & Co. Single Shot Deringer Pistol, made circa 1860 in Springfield, Massachusetts. The total number believed to have been made does not exceed 1,000, making this a rare little pistol. It was designed to be a very simple, easy to use and concealable pocket firearm. These diminutive .22s were handy to most people during a time when the necessity of protecting oneself was a given.

The top of the barrel reads “H.C. LOMBARD & CO. SPRINGFIELD MASS.”. The bottom of the grip declares “PATENT PENDING” and is numbered “719”.

Overall condition is good. The brass frame has a darker patina. The markings are still legible. The left grip panel is cracked in half. Bore is in good condition. The action is not functional due to the trigger return.

Own the original! This is a legitimate antique and not a reproduction.

Barrel is 3-3/8 inches in length.

Caliber: .22 rimfire

Bore is rifled and in good condition. The firing mechanism is not functional.

Overall condition as seen in photos.
