Tiny Pocket Carry Gun from the 1860s
Here we present an antique .22 Caliber Single Shot Deringer Pistol, made circa 1865. The gun was designed for very close quarters personal protection. It is simple, light and very concealable. Its .22 rimfire chambering was more likely to scare and wound an assailant, allowing for the defender to get away.
Overall condition is fair. Most of the nickel finish remains. The gun is unmarked. Grips are very good. Bore is smooth and in fair condition. The action is functional.
