Sharps Conversion “Meacham” style rifle. 45-70 caliber. 30” octagon barrel with good bore. No major pitting and smooth rifling. This is a nice heavy conversion gun. Most of these were shipped west and saw heavy use. This gun was originally a carbine that was converted post-civil war for sporting use with the Sharps barrel. This gun has a brown to grayish patina but has nice sharp markings. Very good Western sporting rifle.
