Up for sale today is a US Springfield Model 1896 Krag serial no. 87405 chambered in caliber .30-40 Krag. This excellent original Krag shows a mint bore, a clean and apparent cartouche, and excellent finish on both wood and metal. A rifle of this serial number range would have gone to Cuba with US forces during the Spanish-American War. An excellent example of am 1896 Krag and a great shooter as well.
