Description:
For sale, a standard grade Remington Model 1100 20 Gauge shotgun in minty excellent condition. Remington first made the 20 Gauge 1100's on the 12 gauge size frames from 1964 to 1969. This example is barrel coded "BR" which means it was made in January of 1968. It has a 28 inch vent rib barrel choked "FULL". The whole shotgun from muzzle to butt plate is in excellent original condition. The Remington factory bright blue finish rates 98% plus and you have to really look hard and close to even find some handling or storage marks. The bottom of the shell lifter (loading gate) shows only the slightest signs of this shotgun being loaded. The factory receiver engraving and lettering on the barrel still retain 98% of the factory gold highlighting. The bore is mint; it is bright and clean with no signs of erosion or wear. The factory Walnut stock set is beautiful with lots of grain showing and is also in excellent shape. The butt and forearm match each other perfectly and they are both free from cracks, signs of wear, and repairs. The black plastic pistol grip cap and buttplate are both excellent and they are both nice and tight. It would be very hard to find a better example of this desirable shotgun.
