Up for sale today is a US Colt M1911 serial no. 271640 (1918) chambered in caliber .45 Auto. This pistol was shipped to the Ordinance Officer at the Port of Embarkation at Bush Terminal, New York on 12 April 1918 and was then shipped to France. This excellent original WWI M1911 has a very good bore, and shows no replacement parts or rebuilds and still shows strong traces of its original blued finish. This pistol is an honest WWI-service Colt 1911. The pistol comes with a correct dual-tone magazine. An excellent, honest example of an early M1911 and a great addition to any collection.
