Description:
This Brevet Nagant designed revolver was manufactured for the Belgian Army as an officer's revolver. It was made by Douane in the 1880's. As a 130 year old military sidearm it shows some high edge wear, a few small handling marks and rust spots, and some small dings, but overall it is in very good condition. It retains 85% of the original factory blue finish and 90% of the fire blue finish on some of the small parts. The bore is mirror bright and in excellent condition. The rifling is strong and sharp. The checkered wood grips are in great shape including the front and back strap inserts. Mechanically the pistol is in 100% working order. The action works both in single and double action. This is a very cool antique revolver that we seldom see in such great condition. It would be a great addition to any military or firearm collection, and these have proven to be an excellent investment.
