Description:
For sale, a scarce O.F. Mossberg & Sons Model 190KB 16 Gauge bolt action shotgun. This model was only manufactured from 1957 to 1958 and is seldom seen today in such fine condition. This model featured a detachable box magazine, a ported barrel with a factory installed adjustable choke, a Walnut Monte Carlo style stock with a factory recoil pad, and the same trigger guard used on their target rifles. This was Mossberg's top of the line bolt action repeating shotgun and was sold for a premium over the base models at the time. Sales were not what they hoped for and the model was discontinued before the end of 1958. This example is in very good to excellent condition overall. The 26 inch barrel has a mint bore, bright with no corrosion or pitting. The stock has some very minor handling marks but no cracks, repairs, or gouges. The often missing or broken red and green "safe" and "fire" inserts are present in perfect condition. Everything works 100% like the day it left the factory. This is your chance to get one of these scarce 16 gauge 190KB models that has had a very easy life, likely spending most of the last 59 years in storage.
