Description:
This is an original Marlin model 1893 chambered for 30-30. The 26” barrel is in good condition. The blued finish has some wear and is developing a patina. There is a small amount of pitting on the side of the barrel as well. The magazine tube is in similar condition. There is a patina developing over the worn finish and a couple small spots of pitting. The front sight is a fixed bead and the rear sight is adjustable for elevation. The bore has good rifling. “Special Smokeless Steel” is engraved on the left side of the barrel near the rear sight. The patinated receiver has a few scratches but no pitting. The lever and hammer are also patinated but uncorroded. The screws have wear marks but are in working condition. “Marlin Safety” is engraved on the top and “Model 1893” is engraved on the tang. The walnut forend and buttstock are in decent condition. There are a few scattered scratches and dents, but few disturb the finish. The finish on the buttstock is lifting and there is a dark streak on the left side. The curved buttplate is patinated and fits the stock well. Length of pull is 13”, overall length is 44-½”, and weight is 7.2 lbs.
