Description:
This is a very nicely done Mauser 29/40 Sporter rifle in 8mmX57. Condition of this rifle is Excellent with a shiny bore. The bolt and extractor have been jeweled, and the bolt handle changed to an elegant swept-back profile. There is a great deal of scroll engraving-the action, the top of the barrel about halfway to the muzzle, the top pf the scope rings, the trigger guard, and the floor plate are engraved and a stag inlaid. The Monte Carlo style walnut stock has been checkered and carved with a bear on the right side of the butt opposite the cheek piece. Contrasting end caps are present on the pistol grip and fore end, and diamonds have been inlaid under the action on both sides. This rifle comes with a Leupold M8 7.5X scope with a crosshair reticle in a 1 piece twist style mount. These are included in the price and will not be removed and the rifle repriced without them.
