Heym 88B Safari in .470 Nitro Express with 24" Krupp Fluid Steel ejector barrels with quarter rib. Front sight with flip up night sight. Four leaf express rear sights with one standing and three folding leaves. Bores as new. French Silver bolstered reciever with Greener type rib extension crossbolt and cocking indicators. Extended bottom tang. Action body with 40% coverage classic scroll engraving. Gold inlay barrel band at breech and along water table. Locking screws on key screws. Double triggers with the front articulated. Custom stocked in an outstanding piece of dense Turkish Walnut by Mark Cromwell of New England Custom Guns. Buttstock is nicely figured with excellent color and contrast as well as good grain flow thru the wrist so crucial on big bores. Shadow line cheekpiece. Two screw steel pistol grip cap. Splinter forend. 15" LOP over an NECG Universal pad. 11lb 2oz Some weight added to the buttstock and balances just behind the hinge pin.
The Heym double rifle is built tough for a lifetime of use. The best of modern doubles. This one with a Mark Cromwell custom stock and in the venerable .470 NE. Africa proven.
