The receiver features 85% coverage of beautiful spiral scroll and vine work surrounding on the left side a 6x6 gold inlaid elk in a forest scene and on the right a gold inlaid quail taking off from a field. Both right and left are signed by the engraver 'L. Ernst'. The upper tang, lower tang, trigger guard and forend hardware have the same fine scroll engraving.
The stock is select English walnut with fine line checkering on the straight grip and both Schnable forarms. This set is contained in a fitted walnut presentation case lined in red velvet with brass hardware and a leather carry handle.
