Description:
Peter Longo single shot rifle made on the Ideal falling block action. Possibly rebored into 7x57R and refinished. Bullet trap in original butt stock will not accept the 7x57 cartridge so it started out in a smaller caliber probably 8.15x46R as many of these action guns were made for running bore competition shooting .Trap Could be drilled out to accept 7x57. Forearm is a replacement and is made of American walnut. Metal finish is 100% , stock has small scratches and handling marks scattered on butt. Checkering is sharp without any damage. Claw mount bases and a single blade rear sight. A weaver rail with integrated claws has been machined to fit the bases. This allows any scope bases and scope to be used. Rifle has Leupold quick release 1" bases and a Leupold 2x7 scope. Skeletonized steel butt plate. This is a rare stalking rifle made on a great action in a great caliber.
