Description:
This pre-WWII Dumoulin external hammer shotgun gun has extensive brilliant original case color, 28” nitro-proofed fluid-steel barrels, and 2-3/4” chambers.  The gun weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces, the length of pull is 15 inches, and it is choked skeet (.004) and improved modified (.022), making it very versatile for both hunting and for the range shooting sports.  The wood is reconditioned, the 24-point checkering is recut, and the barrels are refinished using the Belgian blue process.

The wall thicknesses (top/side/bottom) for the right barrel at 9” from muzzle are 032/.037/.037 and at the middle of the barrel are .036/.034/.038.  The wall thicknesses of the left barrel are .032/.033/.037 and .030/.031/.034, respectively.  Bores 9” from the breech are both .652.  The drop at the comb is 1-3/4” and at the heel 2-3/4”.  The top lever returns to the right of center, and gun locks up tight and on face.

The price does not include shipping costs paid by buyer.  The inspection period is 7 days from receipt.  This gun has been fired on multiple occasions using standard factory 2-3/4” target loads.  However, as for any vintage shotgun, it is strongly recommended that the new owner have it inspected by his or her gunsmith before firing.  The gun carries a 30-day warrantee, during which Back in Time will have any mechanical problems documented by a professional gunsmith repaired or accept the return of the gun and refund the price of the gun and the return shipping cost.  Please do not hesitate to call with questions Stephen Wesbrook, 703-625-4830; Back in Time, LLC  -- preserving late 19th and early 20th Century double shotguns.
