EARLY NEW SERVICE .44-40, 5 1/2" #16XXX, MADE 1907, a very nice example that came right out of here in Montana, fine original blue that shows some light gray from holster wear on each side of the barrel, and back strap, front strap shows fine thinning blue, front sight has not been altered or filed, fine blue on the balance of the revolver with normal handling and holster wear mainly to the edges, nice fire blue on the hammer back and trigger sides, lanyard ring intact, exc. grips are numbered to the gun, tight action, bore will clean to exc., correct early round "New Service" frame marking as well as last barrel patent date of 1900, great frontier caliber
