Leather takedown case for shotgun or rifle.This case is 31 1/2" long and 6 1/2" square.It can handle one or two barrels up to 31" long.The case is in excellent condition with brass buckles and fittings.The leather handle,hinge,and shoulder straps are supple and in excellent condtion.The interior is clean and sound.This is an excellent case for doubles,model 12s,or takedown rifles.I cannot find any makers mark on the case,so it is hard to date the case.I am guessing 1940s or 1950s.
