Description:
28 inch octagon barrel chambered in 40-60-260 caliber. This is a Marlin cartridge loading. Standard configuration with full magazine and crescent butt. Dark bore with visible rifling that may clean up. Crisp action. All metal surfaces are a brown/plum patina. Combination front and sporting rear sights. Forearm checkering is worn. Walnut stock is solid with numerous dings and handling mars. Early first year gun with 3 digit serial number. A rare gun with only 4,600 being made. Copy of Colt factory letter.
