Description:
Serial #12810, .303 British, 25” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a BSA-made, 1943 dated rifle has retained about 85-90% of the original blue finish with some mild silvering along the exposed edges, gray fading at the muzzle, and some further minor finish loss where some light cleaning took place on the right side of the wrist socket and on the receiver. The matching numbered bolt has mottled gray metal along the body with some mild fading on the handle and on the wide safety lug. A milled adjustable rear sight is fitted and there is no import mark present except for a small “ENGLAND” stamp on the wrist socket. The forend and handguards have a fine military oil finish with scattered light handling marks, blemishes, and bruises throughout, most noticeably on the right side of the buttstock. A single unnumbered magazine is included which has minor freckling and pinprick pitting on the exposed portion, and a gray-green nylonsling is currently fitted as well. This is a handsome, war dated Lee-Enfield rifle and rates fine-excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
