SPRINGFIELD U.S. MODEL 1868 TRAPDOOR .50-70 GOVT. CAL. INFANTRY RIFLE W/BAYONET. All original, complete and with matching serial numbers in the 18,xxx range. Excellent plus example with 90% case hardening on the receiver and breech block. Lock and hammer with patina and dark case hardening mixed nicely. Mounts and barrel finished properly in the bright. Excellent stock with all the finish and mint inspector’s cartouches. Perfect working order and mint bore. Excellent original “U.S.” marked bayonet. Superior example.
